Geocache Description:

An easy cache in a nice park that has swimming, playscape, tennis courts, a short walking path and the Hart Community Center. !uC

A simple cache hidden in a nice park, "Mill Pond Park" in Springfield Township. The hours for the park are 8AM to Dusk. Rules are posted at the entrance. One to note is "When the gates are closed, the park is closed and violators can/will be ticketed.". There is plenty of parking. You will need to do some bushwacking for the last 10 feet. Please enjoy this lovely park while you are here.

This area is known to have the Massasauga Rattlesnake. I don't wish to alarm anyone about the danger of having a confrontation with one of these snakes. Many of us have walked the trails in this area many times and I've never heard of anyone crossing paths with a Massasauga Rattlesnake. But an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure so I've provided a few links if you want to learn to more about these snakes. Remember that these snakes are protected in Michigan so do not harm them.
