Located in Vastwood Park, off of Highway 60, between Lewisport and Hawesville in Hancock County.
This cache replaces my original Vastwood Park cache. It is in the same vacinity, but away from the geo-trail, and with fewer briars.
I have many fond memories in Vastwood Park, it is where I first learned to swim. I spent many a day there fishing, playing tennis, Little League baseball and basketball. I also saw my first public fireworks at the dedication of this park on July 4th, 1976, when I was 12 years old. The park has added a paved walking trail around the lake.
This cache is a medium sized, camo'ed peanut butter jar. Depending on the route you take, you may encounter a few briars, so dress accordingly. I hope you enjoy the cache and please, take the time to enjoy this lovely park.
