Curious Joe: The cache location is now a thicket and effectively blocked off by construction. I made a search for it, but couldn't find it and the construction seems to be on island time, so who knows when that will be. I don't get to the island very often anymore, unfortunately, so I am letting it go. Schoolhouse Park deserves a cache. Anyway, thanks to all who found it the past 10 years.

Geocache Description:

THE CACHE IS NOT AT THE LISTED COORDINATES!

Sometimes getting stumped is not a bad thing. This is a relatively easy puzzle cache that can be solved on the (very) short ferry trip from Anacortes to Guemes Island, probably from the comfort of your vehicle. I guess you could walk over, but the final is about a three mile round trip. It would make for a nice bike ride. Have a picnic.

While waiting for the ferry on the Anacortes side, you will notice a five digit weight limit sign. The sum of the five numbers added together = X

On the ferry, there is a two word sign (in red letters) with an arrow pointing to the door for ferry riders. The number of letters in the first word = A

On the ferry there are a couple of big containers with life jackets for children and adults. The number of children and adult life jackets in each container = B

(X - A) = C

The name of the ferry (one word) contains how many letters? Divide that number by 2 = E

On the pilings at the end of your ferry ride there is a sign that begins: "Do Not Start Engine..." There is a word that begins and ends with the letter "D". The number of letters in that word = D

The final is at N 48 32.AB W 122 37.CDE
