Die Schleuse Anderten in Hannover-Anderten überwindet einen Höhenunterschied von 14,70 m zwischen der Westhaltung und der Scheitelhaltung des Mittellandkanals. Sie war zum Zeitpunkt ihrer Einweihung im Jahr 1928 die größte Binnenschleuse Europas. An dem Cache versteck hat man zwar nicht die beste Aussicht auf die Schleuse, dafür ist dort auch weniger Betrieb!
