This small trail system was created by an Eagle Scout candidate,
and it’s completion marked the final achievement needed for the
award. A parking lot is provided just off the entrance (N42°
39.992’ W085° 18.711’) and is accessed via Hammond Road.
You may see “private property” signs posted, but these are only in place to dissuade hunters and motorized vehicles. This property is owned and maintained by the city for our enjoyment. Wide paths coupled with fairly gentle terrain make navigation around the trail system a breeze; however, if walking is at all difficult, you may want to forego this cache. There are a few moderately steep hills as well as some thorn bushes, but the abundant wildlife and pleasant walk should make your trip worthwhile.
Stages one and two are simply coords to lead you to the next station. The stash is housed in a modified Coleman 1 gallon jug.
***Please take a moment and read the story (on the front of the log) about how the cache received its name and placement***
