How Geocaching Works

Geocache Description:

Located at the Storm Lake public boat access. Bring a rod and enjoy the excellent bass and trout fishing in season. Several 10 lb trout were caught from shore here last season, so hang onto your rod. You are looking for a heart shaped container in a zip lock.

My daughter GeoSarah wanted to place a cache and found this small hidey spot. She said it looked like a Hobbit might live here, so that's how we named it. This lake along with Flowing and Panther make up the 3 Lakes area. Fishing opens the last full weekend in April, so anytime after that please be watchful of muggles. Excellent bass and trout fishing if you hit it right. You'll need a Stewardship parking permit if you decide to park for long. There is room along Storm Lake Rd. to park outside the permit area. I live on the east end of this lake, so give a wave I might just see you. CITO is always welcomed here and please be stealthy durring fishing season.

Update: July 31, 2007 Ammobox was taken, so the container was replaced with a temporary one. Fishing is good the water is nice and warm for a swim.
