Houston's 2006 CITO Event

Come help us, with the support of the Harris County Precinct 3
Commissioners office, clean up and beautify one of Houston's Parks.
Check in at the posted coordinates anytime from 9:30 'til 12:00. We
will be providing trash bags, maps of the park & refreshments.
We will also have some freebies/giveaways as well.
After the clean-up, we will meet at the Gazebo (N29 46.880, W95
37.460) from Noon ‘til 2pm, where we will survey our efforts for
the day. Lunch (hotdogs and snacks) will be provided, or you may
bring your own stuff. There is a playground for the kiddos, too!
Help spread the word about geocaching to the non-cachers in the
group! Grab any of the caches in the park you haven’t done yet, or
just take a break and chat!

Project Details:
We will be de-littering Terry Hershey park which will consist of
picking up any and all trash that we can find. GQ & I will be
providing the trash bags. Be prepared to get dirty, and bring some
work gloves. It's recommended to wear pants (not shorts) and don’t
forget your CITO T-shirt.
Volunteer:
To better coordinate this project, please let us know if you plan
to volunteer and whether you’ll be eating with us.
What you need to bring:
Gloves
Chairs
Trash pick up device (Optional)
Caches Available:

Food/Drinks:
Hot dogs, chips and drinks will be provided. Feel free to bring any
extra food you would like.
Prizes:
Adult CITO T-shirt.
Youth (Size L) CITO T-shirt.
Adult CITO T-shirt for the person traveling the farthest to this
event.
Plus misc. door prizes
Note from Breeze:
Please bring all of my friends with you to the event. Sorry, but
all 4 legged friends will have to stay on a 6ft leash while in the
park. |
