Geocache Description:

A camping cache event on the Isle of Anglesey allowing members of the UK caching community to link up with Irish cachers. With a view to taking them out for a days caching

WEDNESDAY 6th of SEPTEMBER to SUNDAY 10th of SEPTEMBER.

As stated the event has been organised to allow members of the UK Geocaching Community to host an Event linking them up with members of the Irish Geocaching community.

First the camping side of things. We have booked the Rally Field at Plas-Uchaf Caravan and Camping site, which are located at the coordinates at the top of the page. We have 24 pitches available on the Rally Field its self, with any overspill going on to the main pitches. The Fees are:

£3 Per Pitch Per Night
£1 Per Person Per Night
£2 Per Night EHU
£2 Per Night for an Awning (to be confirmed)

We will be charging a Deposit of £5 per booking. I will email our postal address to all those who confirm their booking with us, or will collect at GCT6CC Cache Event or GCVACZ CITO Event (not yet listed)

The site can cater for Caravans, T/T's, and Tents (including Multi Pod Tents)

All the facility's (toilets/showers. pot washing room) are 5*. The site operates a "No Overcrowding" policy which has to be seen to be believed as there is so much of the site which is not used for pitches (one row of pitches either side of the road where other sites would have at least 2). The Rally field has 14 EHU's and the owner has state that we may have 24 pitches if we don't mind putting a row of 4 tents in the middle (which will still leave enough room for 2 artics to play tag). The site caters for children who have a small adventure playground, tennis/badminton court and a football area also a small games room for 6 to 13 year olds. It is dog friendly and has a Dog Walk area (with a bag it and Bin it Policy). There are several communal freezers for freezing Ice Blocks.

Dates. We have booked the Rally Field from Wednesday 6th of September to Sunday 10th of September.

Planned Activity's for the weekend

Friday Evening 8th of September. An informal Meet and Greet, allowing everyone to meet each other. And to arrange for Shepherds from the UK caching community to take our visitors from Ireland out caching on Saturday 9th of September.

Saturday 9th of September, those acting as Shepherds take out our visitors. Everyone regrouping back at Plas-Uchaf at a agreed time for a evening BBQ/Buffet and Drinks (cost per head to be announced closer to the event).
