Bruggelen en omgeving, op de Oostelijke Veluwe, heeft de wandelaar heel wat te bieden, zowel op historische- als op natuurwaarden. Hier leven diverse wildsoorten zoals edelhert, ree, wild zwijn, das, vos en boommarter. Midden in het gebied liggen grafheuvels uit het late Neolithicum (Stenentijd) met daarom-heen bijzettingen uit de Bronstijd. Uit de versiering van een urn, bleek dat ze uit de tijd van de Klokbekercultuur stammen (2150 - 1200 v. Chr). De ijzerkuilen, die in het terrein nog duidelijk zijn te herkennen, dateren van rond 700 n. Chr.
The Estate Bruggelen and surrounding, in the Eastern part of the Veluwe, has a lot to offer for the walker, as well as on historical- and natural value. Wildlife is various like, deer, roe, wild boar, badger, fox and treemarter. In the middle of the area there are several burial mounds, from the late Neolithicum (Stone age) with additiolals from the Bronze age. From decorations on a urn, it turned out to decend from the Bellbeaker-culture (2150-1200 before Christ.). The ironpits in the area are still to recognize, decending from 700 after Christ.
