Dealer's Choice Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Debiko: Unfortunately I'll have to archive this fun cache. The area has been too badly damaged by the fire and is totally exposed and "ugly" for geocacher visits. It sure did have a good run though!

Take a break from driving for a quick cache hunt. This cache will provide a fast find and a bit of fun. We found a cache somewhat similar to this one in the Portland area and just had to try one on our own. Hope you like it. The cache is located just off a major north/south highway south of the Tri-Cities. While you’re in the area of this cache make sure you don’t miss the Tumbleweed Corral, Road Warrior – PYN #3, and Old Gulch Lookout caches that are located very near by.

The cache container is a round 6” x 8” recycled, plastic, peanut butter jar (but you’ll find the cache location easily before you actually see the container). Your only Muggle concern could possibly be from a curious farmer who seems to own, or work, the fields in the area (red truck), or possibly from an occasional passing motorist. Most of the Driving Muggles will be speeding by on the highway about 300 feet away. The cache is NOT on private land.

OK! So here’s the deal (pardon the pun)! Inside the cache container you will find a deck of cards, a regular type cache log, a few colored sharpie pens, and a few small trading items. PLEASE NOTE that the deck of cards and the sharpie pens ARE NOT TRADE ITEMS! Here are the rules for the cache:

1.       First “log in” on the deck of cards. Sign your caching name and date on ONE card of your choice, on the face of the card (i.e., where the numbers are printed).

2.       Also , log in your find as usual, in the cache log book making a note of the playing card that you signed.

3.       DO NOT REMOVE or TRADE the cards or the pens!

4.       Only ONE log in (cards and log) per cacher.

5.       When all of the cards are signed we will draw a card at random and offer a small trade item prize to the winner.

6.       If you find the cards all filled in just note that fact when you sign the cache log and again when you log in your find at GeoCaching.com and mention the card that you WOULD HAVE selected to sign. We will sign that card for you in the new/replacement deck

7.       REPEAT LOG-IN: You can log in and sign one card in a NEW deck if you also drop and/or swap a travel bug (TB) during that visit.

8.       Once you have won a drawing you will not be eligible to win again. You CAN sign the deck again though (see Rule #7).

ALWAYS be alert for snakes in fields, tall grass, rocks, etc., when out caching in the warmer months!
