Greetings

As there's been no cache maintenance since my last visit, I am archiving this cache to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us by email at glenn.geocachingadmin@gmail.com and/or RotC@geocachingadmin.com and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.

If you're reading this as an email, don't reply to the sending address. It won't reach me. Follow the contact instructions above.

Geocache Description:

This cache is located in Freebourn Park in Bridgeton, MO. It's relatively easy to get close to the cache, but there is some bushwhacking involved. There is no trailhead. Summer months could prove challenging.

I placed this cache because I wanted people to see the interesting area around this park. I spent quite a bit of time around here in the past, and it's amazing how different it is now. I had originally planned to place this container in O Conner park because it was the first place I ever searched for a cache, but decided that park would be better suited for a micro.

Take Natural Bridge road to the cache. There are a couple of other ways in, but they are not as interesting. However, you may want to take the route to Lindbergh on the way out if you want to see the new runway.

From Natural Bridge, go North on Bonfils, and NW (left) on Woodford Way. Follow the detour signs to Gist Rd., and turn right. There is no longer a sign for Grundy Dr. off of Woodford Way (the detour street) so just follow the detour signs. If you see DuPage Dr. on your right, or pass over I-270, you have gone too far.

Permission has been granted by the Bridgeton Parks Superintendent.
