Take a tour of the East County on a little-used, but wonderful
Boulder Creek Road that travels northwest of Descanso at N 32°
51.934 W 116° 37.998. This road can also be accessed from Pine
Hills off Highway 79 near Julian.
There is a turnout near the cache where you can pull over and
take in the spectacular view of Eagle Peak to the northwest with
Cuyamaca Peak to the east. On clear days, the view is
astounding.
