Geocache Description:

This is the first of what we hope will be several "Humith Smunt Cache's. Start your hike at the public parking provided at the end of Toad Island Road (N41.58.328 W071.07.222). Wear pants for the briars, insect repellant for the bugs and bright colors during hunting season. Have fun!

We call this the Turkey Farm Tour. This is a moderately challenging (4) part multicache located on the 486 acre Erwin S Wilder section of the Hockomock Swamp Wildlife Manangement Area. This was the Winnicunnet Turkey Farm in the late 50's & 60s, maintaining over 35,000 turkeys at a time. Having grown up on the farm, this seemed like the perfect place to set up a first cache. The four part find leads you on a large loop bringing you over much of the farm. Total hike is 2.3 miles as long as you save the parking lot coordinates and go there directly after locating the cache. If you retrace your steps it will be 3.4 miles.
