Special Note: The original location has been damaged and can no longer hide a cache. The container has been moved to the adjacent structure to the southwest. The cache is not at the stated coordinates. Although they are important for understanding the theme of this cache you must solve the puzzle to determine the actual coordinates.
On December 12, 1901 Guglielmo Marconi successfully transmitted the letter “s” in Morse code from Poldhu, Cornwall, England to Newfoundland, Canada a distance of 1,700 miles. The significance of this achievement was that it was the first time radio waves were demonstrated to travel unimpeded by the curvature of the earth. From that moment on, our lives changed immensely. Take a moment to consider those things (including the GPS system) we now depend on or just simply enjoy because of Marconi’s achievement. It’s amazing how far we’ve come in a little over 100 years.
The coordinates of the cache are as follows:
- .-. . -. - --- - - --- / ...- . -. - ..- -. --- / .--. ..- -. - --- / - .-. . -.-. . -. - --- ...- . -. - .. -.. ..- .
-.-. . -. - --- ...- . -. - ..- -. --- / -.-. .. -. --.- ..- .- -. - .- -. --- ...- . / .--. ..- -. - --- / -.-. . -. - --- -.. --- -.. .. -.-. ..
Oh yeah, one more thing. Marconi was born in Italy.
