Cache is located inside the Hopeville State Park in Griswold, CT. Access to the cache is different depending on when you visit the cache. If the road blocks are up, park at the main parking area off of Rt 201 and walk .3 miles through a road block. If the road blocks are open, you can drive through the park and get rather close to the cache. It is a basic wooded area and usually dry. It is sometimes difficult to get a good fix on your GPS with the tree cover, but be patient and don't give up. This is an ammo box cache dedicated to the brave men and women past and present who have fought for our freedom and protect our flag. If you plan on exchanging something from this cache, please use the Patriotic theme. Military (pins, patches, ribbons, medals, etc.)or Patriotic items (Flags, Red, White and Blue items, Stars and Stripes, Firefighter or police items, etc. Have fun and remember to honor the American Heros of our great nation!
