Geocache Description:

This cache is on the south end of Quaker Pond in Mendon Ponds Park.

The container is a decon filled with useless trinkets. It is hidden in one of my favorite parts of the park. This spot has abundant wildlife and not many people. If you take the Southern Meadow Trail it is an easy walk over gently rolling Terrain .This trail includes a beautiful woodland walk of quaking aspen, oak, maple, pines and shagbark hickory trees .You will walk through large open meadows with wildflowers, butterflies, and songbirds in the summer. Look for hawks, turkey vultures, and bluebirds. Fox and American Woodcock have been spotted here. When I placed the cache I saw a few orioles, geese, deer and a beaver. First to find: Readysetcache 4/4/15 There is a letter box at the base of the tree. That is not the real cache. You need to do some climbing if you want to log this cache.
