umbrella. My wife & I stay every year in the cabins at the
state park and love this secluded walk along the ocean with
beautiful contrasting colors of sky, water, surf, lava and green.
If the surf is up, which it usually is, the huge sprays of water
high into the air are extraordinarily spectacular.
This is a short 1/2 mile walk from the state park that you will
not regret. Easy to follow trail leads you right to the Ancient
Lava Fort.
Small note on cache maintenance: We live here
during the winter months. Another geocacher who lives on Maui,
"LavaFlo", will support our cache during the time we may be away
from the island. Thanks!
