Geocache Description:

Squaw Rock looks over to the cache hidden in a rock tower

On the trail to Kane Creek, Hurrah Pass and Chicken Corners, the road of Kane Creek changes from paved to dirt and some gravel. To this cache point, you're pretty good in just about any vehicle if you don't mind the dust and small rocks. You'll find this cache along the trail if you can spot the "Squaw Rock" you're at the Top of your game. It's 1.1 miles past a rock on the east side of the road/trail with a large fish skeleton or centipede petroglyph that's right along the way on its own. This path is well traveled by rock climbers, bikers, atvers, dirt bikers and four wheel drive vehicles, depending on the season, it could be very crowded, so park off the road accordingly.
The 'squaw rock' "looks" east to the position of this cache. Beyond on the rock wall there's an interesting triangle of tallis that points to an old mining shaft, further east. The cache is in a rubbermaid tub with aqua top, located up from a wash, around a rock formation.
There are other interesting caches along this 'trail', we've had fun finding those and wanted to share another place to stop. One of our Team MoabHQ members leads the Chicken Corners trail for Easter Jeep Safari, and so comes out yearly during this big event in Moab for four wheel drives. Enjoy the area, it's a beautiful drive!
