The A+ Derivative Traditional Cache
lightmann: This has been a fun cache for the family. The cache was at grandma and grandpa's place. They had lived there for 37 years. Grandpa passed away peacefully 3 years ago and grandma just decided to sell the orchards and move into town. So.......we won't be visiting the old place any more. Life goes on and change is one of the few things that are constant. Thanks to all who visited and enjoyed the scenery of orchard country and the mountains.

A few miles east of Zillah on East Zillah Drive, then one mile up Thacker Rd. Pleasant drive, nice one to bring the family along.
Enjoy a peaceful drive out into orchard country and catch a nice glimpse of Mt. Adams and Mt. Rainier on a clear day. This cache is on private property with permission/invitation from the owner, but can be reached from the shoulder of the road. After he saw one in a yard in Zillah he said, "Hey, you can put one at our place!"
The term A+ is a long-used family name for things farm, orchard and ranch related. The idea being that anything worth doing is worth doing well -- as a grade of A+ would be in school. "Derivative" comes from a family love of math, science and engineering,...... got that kids?.....no slacking off on those math problems!
Nothing tricky here. The cache is at the top of the retaining wall slightly under the edge of a shrub. Traffic is scarce. You do not have to enter the yard to reach the cache, just stand next to the wall and reach.
The top of the container is covered with a flat rock. Sign in and swap as you please.
Please screw the lid back on TIGHTLY when you're done, thanks (helps to keep the water out).
