This Geocache was owned by Poochi_5Pack from 2006–2017, but they have retired from Geocaching so I have adopted this listing. The high terrain rating is because you will need to bushwhack off trail, climb a monstrous rock face, and maybe even squeeze yourself in a crevasse to find the cache. Please use extreme caution!
Pooch_5Pack, 2006: This cache is located in the little known Town of Andover Conservation Commission property known as the Bob Pustel Reservation. The trailhead is on Ballardvale Road about midpoint between Main Street and South School. There are some signs marking the trailhead. There is also a newer trailhead on Powers Road that would probably be better to use. The cache is intended for Cachers with Dogs. Feel free to do this cache even if you don't have a dog, but dogs and their owners will appreciate it the most. The cache is a large ammo box and will take some some agility to attain. This cache is dedicated to our beloved companion of almost 10 years, Sophie, an English Springer Spaniel. Sophie left us way too early in life but she loved the outdoors and doing caches when she could. This spot is very close to our home and we walked these trails many times with her. Check out her photos inside the cache or in the gallery. The cache itself is loaded with goodies for other dogs to enjoy. Share a moment with your special companion in Sophie's memory. There once was a disposable camera with 27 exposures in the cache to take a photo of your dog and many dog treats in the cache. After you find the cache, continue down the main trail and you'll soon come to a small brook where your dog can get a drink of water. There's plenty of trails here to explore so take some time and enjoy the area. Thanks for visiting our cache.
