MEMORIES OF THE MOOSE
This cache is located at the site of the old Southaven Moose Lodge (now part of Southaven's Parks Dept.). As a teenager, my parents relocated our family nearby. That was in 1975 and Malone Road was a narrow, gravel road - it was the country! Our phone had a party line (we shared a phone line with several other residences). The Moose Lodge had a pool (where the tennis courts are now) which provided a great social venue for other teens who also lived in the country. Sometimes dances were held on Friday nights for the teens. I went to a few but don't seem to remember much dancing going on. As I got older I played some on a softball team at the Moose Lodge coached by Ernest Stone.
