Geocache Description:

This two-stage cache is located in the Clark County Wetlands Park. The site is not wheel chair accessible. In finding the cache you will travel approximately one mile along dirt roads adjacent to the Las Vegas Wash. Hill climbing is involved.

Have you ever chased a rainbow to find the pot of gold at its end? As a young boy I did and found it to be elusive and always ended up on some mountain or hill in the distance. Rainbows were always magical. Too bad as we get older we forget the wonderment and magic of rainbows. You just have to believe and imagine and the magic can come true.

Rumor has it that there is a pot of silver at the end of this rainbow, after all, Nevada is the Silver State. The coordinates above will take you to a spot near the Rainbow Gardens gradient control facility. Please stay away from the facility itself as it can be very dangerous to climb upon. Stored in a micro container nearby (within 20 feet) are the coordinates to the rumored cache. The container might be elusive but keep at it, just believe!

Once you drive to the second site, short hill climb will take you to the final cache located about 0.12 mile away. You are looking for a rumored silver pot well hidden from non-believers. Remember geocaching rules, you can only take one piece of silver if you leave a piece of silver. When you reach the site, take a minute to enjoy the view.

This cache is best accessed from Lake Las Vegas Parkway then turning west and traveling past the fire station to ultimately reach the site. A high clearance vehicle is suggested and the road may be very muddy or impassible following rainstorms. Parking is readily available on the main dirt road, within 0.15 mile of each location.

Please stay out of nearby construction areas and watch out for BIG construction trucks. Take water with you and as always stay out of desert washes during flood conditions.
