Geocache Description:

The cache is located in the Methodist Chapel Cemetery in Beech Grove. You can get to the parking from Churchman Ave. Park behind the brown building at 350 Churchman. They said it was OK to use their parking lot in back to visit the cemetery. ***DON'T TRY THIS ONE AFTER DARK. THE BEECH GROVE POLICE DEPT IS RIGHT NEXT DOOR AND THEY WILL NOT TAKE KINDLY TO GRAVE ROBBERS STUMBLING AROUND AT NIGHT (WE ROLL UP THE SIDEWALKS AT SUNSET).

The name of the cache comes from the 1849 deed by Mr William Arnold. He deeded the property for a burying place for everyone except horsethiefs and murderers!!!! The Methodist Chapel was build approx 1837 and the first recorded burial was Sarah Bowser in 1849.
This is an easy cache to find, a small thermos. Enjoy this hidden little grave yard, the only one in Beech Grove.
One other interesting site is just across Churchman and a little SE, it is the remains of the Churchman house that was built in 1870. This tower is all that remains of this old old home.
The cache is stocked with the regular items, Mardi Gras beads, toys and the Keychain TB. Enjoy.
