The Park Neuk stone circles lie in a sparsely wooded area on the
high moorland at Heatheryhaugh, just off the Cateran trail.
There are 2 circles here - one in the wooded area consisting of 10
large stones altogether forming an avenue of two sets of three
stones pointing approx NW and two other stones pointing approx NNW.
The second circle with a fence surrounding it is a "4 poster" - as
the name suggests a 4 stoned circle(or would that be a
square??)
The surrounding area also contains ancient fields and terraces - as
will be seen when searching for the cache.
