When I visited this cemetary I noticed that most of the names on the tombstones had the name Upper.
One of the very first families in Allanburgh, were the Uppers, United Empire Loyalists from New York, coming here near the close of the Revolution
the Government granting them 200 acres of land.
This cemetery is one of two very early cemeteries in the old Village of Allanburg area of Thorold.
The other cemetery is located quite close by.
Cache is a small container holding a log book. Bring a pen.
