Geocache Description:


From Torrington heading west on US Hwy 26/85. Drive about 1.5 miles, passing Goshen County Fairgrounds, Smitty's Repair Shop and Hein's Greenhouse. Turn right (north) on Road 47 next to Cool Customs. Once on Road 47 drive 2 miles north to a 4-way stop. Continue north. Road 47 joins Van Tassell Rd/Hwy 159 near mile marker 4.29 & canal bridge. At mile marker 12.78 turn left onto Tea Kettle Rd, which is a well maintain gravel road. Continue on for approximately 1.5 miles.

You will NOT need to cross any fences.

This road sees very little traffic so don’t worry about where to park. Watch out for rattlesnakes during certain times of the year. This is a beautiful area to view wildlife and experience only nature’s sounds, as you are completely away from city noises. Make sure and take the time to take some pictures of Tea Kettle Mountain. It's amazing how much it looks like a tea kettle from this angle. If you happen to be here in the evening you might be lucky enough to view one of our spectacular 360°sunsets.
