Roil used the control panel to set of the door alarm. As the bounty hunter with Ravyn moved towards the door Roil slide through the hidden panel and shot him. Then cut Ravyns wrist locks with a hand laser.
Just as he was about to head for the door it opened and Willie came in fallowed by a man Roil had not seen for many years. Hutton was tall as he was mean. He had once been part of the royal guard like Roil but had quit and walked away never to be heard from again. Slowly Roil began to reach for his weapon but Hutton said “That wont be necessary old friend and put his own weapon away. “ Dad this guy saved me. I tried to kill that thing outside but I missed and we both fell to the ground then it grabbed me and this guy shot it. “ said Willie.
Dad ? said Hutton with a smile.
It was Ravyn who moved first. She grabbed Willie and pushed him into the safe room. “Where is Clare?” she asked. “I don’t know. She let them in and then disappeared “
Clare let them in? She said. “Yes” replayed Willie
“OK you stay in here and see if you can track her while your dad and I talk to Hutton” .She said
When she stepped out of the safe room she locked it. When she turned around she saw a man who had died many years ago standing in the front door.
“Father?” She said.
“Yes Ravyn it is me.” Said the old man.
She ran to him and held him for a long time. His ship had been destroyed many years ago and he and his guard were thought to be dead.
“How, what happened” said Ravyn
The ship was attacked and I used an escape pod but I had been wounded. It was Hutton who found me and brought me to this world.
It was then that Willie walked out eating a sandwich. With his mouth half full. “I didn’t find Clare but I hacked into her bank account. She got paid fifty million dollars to let these fools in. I tried to get the money but it had been moved to a new account. Hey who is the old guy.”
“BACK IN THE SAFE ROOM NOW.” said Ravyn.
“Its OK mom I reset the scanners. They had been messed with pretty bad. But I set them and its all clear.
“Mom ?”said Ravyns father.
Suddenly Ravyn realized she was going to have to tell a king that his only daughter who was now queen had been bonded for life to a common body guard.
