At Runway near Masada - at the lowest point on earth.
This Cache is located near Masada -next to the mineral rich Dead Sea where you can float. You will register a negative elevation reading of -1260 feet!
This Cache was originally named "Fly-In Masada" Cache since we stayed overnight here with the 8 planes that flew in from Herzelia to the Bar Yehuda Runway for an overnight, at the foot of the famous mountain fortress, Masada.
Unfortunately, in the morning one of the planes had to make an emergency landing on top of the famous desert fortress - Masada. Luckily Pilot and crew are OK and there was no damage to the famous site. Photos below. Here's a link to the news article:

So we decided to change the name to "Fly-On Masada".
Update: Nov. 2013
There have been some road and fence changes at the Bar Yehuda air strip, so the cache was moved so it will be more accessible.
Right now the area is under development - so at the moment the refreshment stand and Bedouin tent are not there.
When we visited there was a very hungry white dog (with puppy) that seems to have remained in the old area of the air strip and is not getting food. So please bring some leftovers for her and her puppy.
