An easily hid, large, black ammo box, with hand-painted camo.
The intent of this cache is to provide the children of the neighboring grade school a learning tool. Also, this cache has been placed with permission of the Joliet Public Library District and in accordance with the geocaching policies of the Forest Preserve District of Will County. Because of these factors, there are several rules that go along with this cache.
Please place only items that have educational merit. When you add something, please explain in the log or on-line what you want the children to learn from it. Any paper items should be sealed in a plastic bag and NO FOOD!
Teachers will collect interesting items to share with the class for a brief period and then return the item for future trade.
Hopefully, at the beginning of each school year, a teacher will release a set of travel bugs to race each other to see which one can travel the farthest during the year (and see the sights along the way).
Because this is on library grounds:
- Please cache during daylight hours.
- If you want to enjoy the beauty of the nearby forest preserve, please park at its lot to the west.
- If you need bathroom facilities, please use the ones available at the nearby forest preserve to the west (small children emergencies, excluded).
Lastly, the cache is along a popular trail and within sight of the library windows, so be wary of muggles (as best you can).
