Geocache Description:

Just about 15 feet north of the cache, you will find Blanche Barrow Frasure.

Blanche was the wife of Clyde's older brother, Buck Barrow. They met after he had escaped from prison in Huntsville, and shortly after marrying, Blanche convinced Buck to turn himself in and finish serving his sentence.

After his release, Buck wanted to see his little brother so they arranged to meet Clyde, Bonnie and W.D. Jones.

They were unfortunately present when the Barrow Gang was involved in separate shootouts with Missouri law enforcement officials in Joplin and Platte City; two peace officers were killed and numerous people on both sides were wounded.

After fleeing Missouri, they hid out in the abandoned Dexfield Amusement Park, located between Dexter and Redfield, Iowa, but did not go unnoticed for long. Iowa officials arranged a daybreak ambush but Bonnie, Clyde and W.D. managed to evade arrest; Buck, suffering a serious head wound he received in an earlier shootout, was too weak to escape and Blanche refused to leave his side. After a shootout with the local possee, Buck and Blanche were arrested. Buck was taken to a Perry, Iowa, hospital where he died five days later. Blanche was sent to Des Moines and eventually served a ten year sentence in the Missouri State Prison for her involvement in the crimes.

After prison, Blanche married Eddie Frasure and lived in the Dallas area. She always stayed in touch with the Barrow family, who thought very highly of her.

You're looking for a camo'd bison tube; please use care to re-hide it exactly as you found it. Please record only the date and your initials on the small log.

Don't forget a pen.
