Located off the white dot trail by Hanks Pond in Newark Watershed lands. Woods roads and level terrain. Short possible bushwhack to cache site. A hiking permit is needed and obtainable off Echo Lake road in Newfoundland at the Newark Watershed field office.
Needful things are a part of our everyday live's but once in a while a neededful place is what we need to relax and ponder. With the water lapping the rocky shore and the peaceful atmoshere this location should do it. Parking is available at Clinton/Van Buran Roads at the gated trail head( White Dot) or for a historical hike in , park at the bend in Clinton Road and use the woods road in, taking the Blue dot trail connecting trail over the stream and a short distance up on the right to view some impressive foundations. Blue dot leads to wooded road and joins to White dot trail on East side of pond. At the "double white"trail marker also marked "Nude Beach" There is a barely visable foot trail leading to cache site. If you miss trail a bushwhack is needed, but at least you can follow it out. Container is 3inch mouth tube. Bring your binoculars for the view. Treequest
