I cached the Sabine! Mystery Cache

This cache has been archived.

Port Dawg Cacher: Many of the stages to get to this one are long gone thanks to Hurricane Ike. Afraid I'll have to archive this one. May make something similar at some point, after I get my boat functioning again (which was also put out of commission thanks to Ike).

Geocache Description:

CACHE IS NOT AT THE LISTED COORDINATES!!

For those truely insane cachers who managed to find all TEN of the Sabine River caches in this set, this cache is for you!

This is the bonus cache that you can find only after finding all ten other caches and obtaining the clues found in each one.  This does not mean that this is a ten part multicache.  Each cache is a find in itself, this one is just the capper!

I have had custom patches to award the accomplishment made up that you may wear proudly, hang by your computer, or stuff in the bottom of your sock drawer. You'll find these patches in the large ammocan once you figure out it's coordinates.

For those of you who have found Sabine Youree and Sabine Launch BEFORE I made them part of this adventure, if you like, please contact me and I'll tell you what the clues are inside of them.  I won't make you go find them all over.

Like Sand through the Hour Glass
Intra-cache'l Canal

As the crow flies, from North at Wembly Island all the way down to South at Intra-cache'l Canal, the distance is about 16 miles.  According to the Sabine River Authority, the water distance is more like 23 miles.

To claim the bonus and grab your own copy of the patch, you DO NOT have to do all 10 caches in one day.  Feel free to try, there's nothing saying you couldn't, but I'd start early in the morning.

You might find these websites useful in planning the trek:

As usual, on any remote water trip, bring a cell phone, tell a few people where you're going, pack plenty of water, some snacks or food, and don't even think about it without Mosquito repellant!!!

So... WHERE is the BONUS CACHE?

First a little math (replace each letter with the clue you found):

LCA + EKF = Latitude

BCHJ - BDEA = Longitude

The cache is waiting for you at:

30 04.Latitude

093 43.Longitude
