This multi will take you on a journey of about 38km south from Benalla on a tour of former railway station sites.
All the waypoints and the cache should be easily found close to roads.
The cache itself is large but camouflaged.
The opening and closing of this branch line mirrored the peak of the "Construction Branch" railway boom that lasted from 1895 to 1939.
WP1
On the northern platform you will find a sign commemorating a railway opening in the year ABCD.
Between 1914 and 1947 a branch line departed from here and headed south to the foothills of the ranges.

About 25 metres north of WP2 are some sprinklers in a tree. Looking from WP2, the number of sprinklers = E

Here you will find two signs. This man lived in the district until the year FGHJ

There is a double sided white sign on the other side of the fence. The number of times the letter S appears = K

The number of large timbers in this structure = L

This station once had a turntable, the size of which, in feet = MN
Timber was delivered to this station from the hills to the south by various means, including the one on display at WP7.

Have a close look at the pulley housing that the rope passes through. The code stamped into the housing starts with DZ. The last three numbers = PQR
