Tinkers Trove (Berkshire) Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

walkergeoff and wife: Sadly this one has gone. There are signs of a fire at the actual cache site. I won't be replacing it as it has not been visited since August, apart from the recent DNF.

If someone else wants to hide one here, that would be great.

Geocache Description:

In Tinkers Copse off Bolton Lane. Parking near entrance. The entrance to the copse is at N51º25.551' W000º46.285

Tinkers Copse is a small ancient woodland copse used to be set in an open rural farmland landscape. 'Tinker' refers to a Scottish vagrant who frequented them in the early 1800's (per R. Mosses). House building in the 1990's enclosed the copses, which had been derelict and unmanaged for quite some time prior to this. It now provides a valuable wildlife oasis within the urban area.

The cache is a 1 litre lock'n'lock airtight box.
