***DO NOT DROP TRACKABLES HERE~~ONLY "VISIT"***

The area now known as Manassas was originally called Manassas Junction due to the railroads which connected the North and West to the Nation's Capital. The first rail lines ever used for war purposes were those at Manassas Junction. During the Civil War the town was burned by Confederate troops upon threat of impending Union takeover. The town was rebuilt after the Civil War and renamed.
