Geocache Description:

The first annual meeting of the Valley Cachers, open to anyone interested in caching and gps navigation. Bring guests please, all are welcome.

Meeting at the trail head at 9am, May 7.

One of the great hikes in Nova Scotia runs along the top of the odd hook jutting out into the Bay of Fundy known as Cape Split. This get together is a chance for those who have never been on the hike to meet up with a group of like minded cacheaholics to enjoy this very rewarding hike. We will be taking the more traditional interior trail to make this 16km hike a little more user friendly. At the Split we will stop for lunch and talk over any geocaching issues of interest. The lower portions of the trail may be muddy at times so good hiking boots are recomended, the rest of the trail is quite level and generally easy going. Remember this is a somewhat long hike and conditions at the start of the hike can change quickly so bring proper clothing, food and water. This is the perfect time of year to enjoy the areas great wildflowers so bring your camera. Parking is at the end of the road, as is the trail head.
