This cache is hidden near Clear Pond in the town of Parishville in the old Boy Scout Camp Vigor.
The cache is hidden near Clear Pond. The road leading back to the ponds is in decent shape. There is a parking area at the corner of White Hill Road and Clear Pond Road if you can't drive in during the winter months. This will significantly increase the trip in, but is also the only option in winter since Clear Pond Road is not plowed.
Note also that there are no marked trails in this area. All of the trails here previously have been abandoned. There are plenty of old logging roads and herd paths to use, and it's fairly easy to navigate. You just won't be able to depend on marked trails to get around. There isn't much of a walk to the cache, so this should not be a problem.
This cache is a screw top jar, bigger than a peanutbutter jar, smaller than one of those big pretzel jars. Inside is some FTF swag, a log, and some kids trade items. It is hidden, but not too difficultly. Just don't stick your head into the porkie hideout that isn't too far away. You should not have to go near it, but I thought I'd just warn you.
