This cache is located near a beaver pond in the West Parishville State Forest.
This is another trailess cache. The area is full of old logging roads and animal paths, but no marked trails. It is still easy to get to, if you choose the right path. If you choose the wrong path, you have to take a bit of a walk around the pond, though that is still fairly easy. The cache is a screw top jar, bigger than a peanutbutter jar, but smaller than one of those pretzel jars. Inside the cache is a log, some FTF swag and some small kids trade items. It is hidden under a small pile of brush.
This area is open to hunting and receives a lot of hunting pressure during deer season, the 2nd weekend in October through the 1st weekend of December. If you are caching during this time, please wear safety orange and make "people" noise such as whistling or talking.
