How Geocaching Works

Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions in our disclaimer.

Geocache Description:

It's back and ready to be found. New improved design, near old location. Please use a gentle twisting motion to remove cache from it's hiding place.

PLEASE DO NOT CROSS THE FENCE. The land beyond the fence is private property and a new NO TRESSPASSING sign is in place. The cache can be found without climbing the fence.

Please replace cache just as you found it so the next to find has the same challenge. Please be careful to avoid breaking it. Please let me know if it needs any maintenance or repairs.

This cache is within sight of the remains of an old lock on the Miami-Erie Canal.

There was once a sawmill located at this site. It was powered by the water from the canal using the drop in elevation at the lock. The state sold power at all of the locks. I hope to add more information about this area as it becomes available.

It is NOT necesary to climb the fence.
