SGT red jeep: Returning to this location, it did appear to have been affected by the spring and early summer flood. I tore the hiding spot completely apart, to determine that the cache was indeed gone. Yep, nothing. Checking out the area and the obvious direction of the water flow, I actually turned up the container about a hundred yards away. Since it was a sturdy 7.62 ammo can, the contents were still dry and in good condition. With the hiding spot destroyed, I will relocate the cache in a new location a little further away to give cachers another chance to find the container.
