Nothing official will start too early. I will be there after 9 AM.
Registration until noon. The coin unvieling will not be until 1 PM
and the awards after that. The draw for the hiking stick will be
around 4 PM. Things should be all over by 5 PM. There will be a "
donation only" BBQ going outside with burgers and dogs (both meat
and vegan). Proceeds will go to cover food costs and the surplus
will be donated to the MGA. I have some optional games planned for
the adults and kids alike. Look for a kids treasure hunt and
"Logan's Run". New caches will be hidden prior to the big day.
There will be door prizes and even a little something special some
of you may be interested in.
There will be the annual
Oktoberfest going on
in Tatamagouche that evening and if people want tickets let me
know ahead of time. There is a campground available nearby in
Malagash and one in Tatamagouche as well. If enough people show
interest I will arrange a tour (winery, quarry, I'll think of
something) for Sunday. Or we could arrange a a trip to a
specific cache.
Amenities There are banks, drug stores, grocery stores, gas
stations and liquor stores in Pugwash and Tatamagouche. Wallace has
a gas station, restaurant, convienience store.
I
would recommend bringing a chair as I plan on having as much
of the event outside as I can if the weather cooperates.
Also, anyone wanting to bring a BBQ is more than welcome.
There will be burgers and dogs at the donation only BBQ until
they run out. So if you want to bring something for yourself
feel free.
