This is a nice spot with easy access on and off the freeway. You may even want to bring a picnic, fishing pole and a few worms.
Take I - 84 to Hilgard – Ukiah Exit. Cross the Grande Ronde River and turn left just south of Hilgard State Park. Go half a mile down a very bumpy, pot hole infested road. Park at the pull-outs on either side of a large rusted gate. Don’t go past this point. The road is gated and POSTED. There is no turn around.
This area is a nice meadow leading up to an open forest with some nice rock outcroppings. The cache is located just a short hike up the hill. (GPS coverage may be a little jumpy due to some canopy cover.)
You are looking for an ammo box with a log book, pen and some goodies for all ages.
Please re-hide the cache better than you found it.
