Geocache Description:

Wheel chairs and buggies can get within 1 metre of the cache.
Please leave the log with the open end facing down to avoid the damp getting in.

This cache is by courtesy of the Ladybug Kids of Alaska who set a similar cache which we failed to find, but liked the idea so much we just had to lay one in this country for all you keen caches. This is Sweepy's twelfth cache in the area around St Ives and the closest to home, so easy to keep an eye on it.
It is set between the lovely villages of Hemingford Grey and Hemingford Abbots, just a short way off the A14 and not far from the market towns of Huntingdon and St Ives.
Parking is best at N52 19 357 W000 07 145, near the Axe and Compass pub (good grub and beer) and opposite the village hall. The cache is just a short walk away from the parking. It is placed on part of the National Cycle Network (Route 51) It is also a popular walking/jogging route from St Ives to Hemingford Abbots, across the river to Houghton and back along the river to St Ives.
The path is a multi-use path. It is frequented all year by cyclists, runners, baby joggers, dogwalkers, rollerbladders and cachers.
The cache has only a logsheet, please do not leave anything in the cache. Bring your own pen/pencil. PLEASE return the cache plastic bag upside down so that rain water does not run into it. Thanks.
