Birds of a feather Traditional Cache

This cache is located in the Lakefield Marsh Conservation area. You'll be able to do a bit of bird watching from the bird hide, so bring your binoculars!

Note that the hiding spot requires a bit of a stretch. At just under 6' it wasn't a big issue for me but don't be surprised if at 5' you have to be more creative than just standing there. The container is a camo'd lock-n-lock. Please take care to put the container back the way you found it so as to prevent it from blowing out of it's hiding spot in a stong wind or something.

The accompanying picture was taken by TrimblesTrek. I snatched it from their log entry for this cache because I think it's a great picture of the bird hide that was likely part of the inspiration for the cache name. Thanks for the picture TT! Please use some stealth when retrieving and hiding this cache. The original container (and location) were continuously muggled so there's a good chance that cachers have been spotted in the past and therefore you might still be 'under surveillance'.

2008-07-11 - Updated the cache page to describe the new container as pointed out by recent cachers.
2007-12-22 - Replaced the missing container, contents and logbook with a new, smaller one and re-activated the cache.
2007-09-03 - Disabled cache due to reports that the container and contents had again been compromized.
2007-07-14 - Replaced the missing container, contents and logbook with a new one and re-activated the cache.
2006-08-05 - Parking waypoint added.
2006-07-17 - TrimblesTrek's picture added to cache description.
2006-07-07 - This cache moved about 25m from the original posted co-ordinates. The container was changed and the contents were entirely replaced (including the non-existant logbook) except for a dinosaur that had survived in the old container.
2006-07-03 - Cache adopted by PACT.
