Geocache Description:

This is a two stage multi cache, the first stage is at a Pioneer Cemetery where you will gather information to lead you to a traditional final stage.
N43 and W79 are assumed for coordinates to be calculated.
This cache is the fourth in a series and there is a three digit code under the lid for later use.

Stage One – The United Church of America Cemetery – At the posted coordinates there are pioneer gravestones set on concrete, you will need to get the following information:

The year of Rebecca C. Fleming’s death = A
The age of Robert Westwood when he died = B

You will now have to go about 500m north on the Third Line from this cemetery to the Boston Presbyterian Church cemetery for two more pieces of information, these will be found on modern markers which are easy to spot:

Number of years Abraham Nielson was a resident of Esquesing = C
The age in years of John & Elizabeth Sproat’s daughter Elizabeth Brown at her death = D

To calculate coordinates for the trailhead:

Divide A by 1000 and subtract from 38.788 to get North minute value, and divide C by 100 (yes 100) and add to 57.676 to get West minute value.

To calculate coordinates for the final stage:

Divide B by 1000 and subtract from 37.219 to get North minute value, and divide D by 100 (yes 100 again) and add to 58.236 to get West minute value.

Final Stage – The main cache is a small plastic Lock & Lock container containing a log book and some very small trade items.
