Kickoff/parking coordinates are: N 37 09.255 W 093 18.514 You can get here going South on Ferguson from Battlefield. Please park here, there are closer areas to park but they are in neighborhoods and apartment parking and require the crossing of surprisingly busy streets.
The distance to the cache will be about .20 from the parking coordinates over mostly flat terrain, however there will be some bushwacking required the last 20 feet or so.
After very heavy rains the walk could be muddy and the cache could be unaccessible at these times. The cache is on high ground and should not flood. Please do not attempt at night since the parking is still near housing and would probably raise unwanted attention.
The original cache contents were a premade cache given to me on my birthday by GeoJenC. I have a travel bug I have been waiting to send out I named Tailgater, so Jenny made a cache filled with Football items so I would have an appropriate place to start it's travels.
I KNOW THERE ARE CLOSER PLACES TO PARK, I WAS ASKED NOT TO HAVE PEOPLE PARK THERE WHEN GETTING PERMISSION FOR PLACING THE CACHE.
*** Just a heads-up, pay attention to the attributes: THORNS, TICKS, POISON IVY AND POSSIBLY BEES in the cache area. Watch out for the very big Groundhog holes!! Not much I can do about these but give an additional warning.
IT WOULD BE NICE if you write an actual log, good or bad-so I would know what to change.
If not, log however you like, abbreviations, "found", random letters, whatever makes you feel good.
