Geocache Description:

The posted coordinates are bogus. To determine the real coordinates, you have to solve the puzzle below. But it is an easy puzzle.

Also, my GPSr was having a little trouble at the exact cache location, so I stepped off to the side to capture coordinates. There, I was getting great signal. The cache is located 22 feet from the coordinates. The hide is obvious.

My son and I went to see Joe Satriani in concert in Grand Prairie tonight. Eric Johnson played too. I won't tell you how much money I spent. Just that I spent a lot. But I guess Joe and Eric have gotta eat.

The show was amazing. Joe was in top form. The show lasted four hours! We had a blast. My son said "that was the best performance of anything I have ever seen, ever." That pretty well summed it up.

Hey, I finally got to see Eric live! Been wanting to do that.

This is the third time I have seen a Satriani show. Before this show, the better one was a number of years ago, when I saw him as part of the G3 tour, in the Bass Hall in downtown Fort Worth. Even all those snooty older ladies that serve as ushers at events at the Bass Hall were there. They were a little surprised by all us guitar freaks taking over the place.

I am a huge fan of the guitar. I never learned how to play. I just like to listen. And listen. And listen.

My son plays the guitar. He has a band, and they are pretty good. They came in second at a recent Battle of the Bands event. They won 75 bucks. My son also samples and mixes and creates lots of songs. He also creates films. Media is his thing.

Anyway, back to guitar. Listed below are the guitarists that I think are the best ever...

Joe Satriani
Steve Vai
Roy Clark
Eric Johnson
Stevie Ray Vaughn
Eddie Van Halen
Yngwie Malmsteen
Carlos Santana
Gary Hoey
Alex de Grassi

I know that some of you out there have your own opinions about this and are yelling, "well what about Hendrix, or Les Paul, Jimmy Paige, Jeff Beck, George Benson, Zakk Wylde, Clapton, etc.?"

Those clowns!? Just kidding. They are great too. There have been a lot of great guitarists. But there are certain sounds and styles that especially click with me. And those listed above are the best ever in my book.
