Directions:
From the intersection of Routes 202 & 119 near West Rindge, head East on Route 119. The Stearns-Lamont Forest is located on the right. Parking coordinates are N 42°45.646, W 072° 01.660
There is a gate to enter the forest. It's a short hike to the cache (a little over 1/4mi from the gate). The terrain is mostly flat taking you by a small pond. There may be some mud on the trail. Enjoy the wildlife; you may see moose, deer, etc... The trails take you all but the last 150 feet or so of bushwhacking.
The cache started out with: Three hand made fishing lures (our signature swag), keychain, NASCAR die cast, picture of 1959 classic car, gun lock, mini flashlight, cassette tape, Red Sox bumper sticker, playing cards, and a PT Cruiser die cast.
*****9/15/08 There is a beaver dam that has flooded part of the trail. You will need to bushwack around the dam crossing a few small streams for about 75ft.
Good Luck!
