Ten Forty pond is one of our favorite camping spots. There are
several beautiful ponds to visit in this area. You'll definitively
want a four wheel drive or high clearance vehicle to get in since
it's often muddy with several deep puddles and large rocks to
navigate around. The cache is up on a hill with a great view of the
mountains in the area. The bridge near N45° 47.4502' W69° 14.1656'
is out and you’ll have to walk the last quarter mile.
Cache is an ammo can, clearly marked on the outside. Original
contents are one of my Priest 2005 Geocoins (not activated), a 2005
Maine Geocoin, Compass TB, Lord of the Rings soundtrack, light
stick, USB hub, and some Wet Wipes. Please don't take both
geocoins; leave one for the next geocacher. Thanks!
