Geocache Description:

Offset multi-cache. Country walk including many stiles and some steps. Some hilly parts, lovely by day but recommended 2 is company after dusk. Not circular approx. 1.5 miles each way. Didn't see any no dog signs but they would certainly be best on a lead due to cattle.

Cache is a circular Klip - WATERPROOF! (fingers crossed) 240ml 10cmX 5cm well hidden requiring a little enthusiasm/fitness to get to. It is however NOT a circular walk (this may be the most useful comment I make). The nettles seem quite potent so gardening gloves may help. Warning my Garmin E-trex is not a fan of its compass directions so despite my efforts to keep checking these may not be as helpful as you'd think - I will endeavor to update these as necessary. Final cache is at N50 FE.DCC E000 GD.CFA (for those wanting to cheat and move the car nearer after finding the clues there's nowhere safe to park nearby except what looks to be a private wide driveway for a quick dash maybe). If driving: Take the Folkington Road off the A27 near Polegate, busy road take care. If coming from Polegate end there is a layby/bus stop on the right just before the left hand turn. Coming from Lewes if you get to the Welcome to Polegate sign you have gone too far. Park at roadside near the church around N50 48.740 E000 12.708; apparently the church needs funds so you might wish to donate a little if you enjoy the area. Take Bridlepath S/E (for those with low signal like me not the one signed to Wilmington). A= N50 48.700 E000 12.770 The number of horizontal bars on this gate and add 3(my reference is taken from the path) B= N50 48.772 E000 12.718 The last digit of the first year that is stated on the grave stone of Harriet wife of John Dennes. G= N50 48.830 E000 12.760 The penultimate number on this red street furnishing (this is becoming my trade mark). You might start worrying about my alphabet now as I put G before C. C= N50 48.827 E000 12.775 The speed limit stated on these pillars. D= N50 48.799 E000 12.869 The number of letters above the gate. A private BMX bike track can just be seen through this hedge as you pass (I saw the bikes flying like on E.T. before I saw the track). N50 48.766 E000 13.073 Take stile head S.E. N50 48.725 E000 13.204 another stile E= The second digit of the day of Kay's death. N50 48.712 E000 13.224 Nice view of Polegate windmill. F= Half of the last digit in the year she died (sorry very morbid). Continue S/E on track to another stile. N50.48.577 E000 13.478 Yet another stile N50 48.575 E000 13.516 head East. A herd of cows liked me hear. Don't worry that your appear to be going away from the cache - you are! Maybe the last stile N50 48.569 E000 13.907 At N50 48.524 E000 13.943 Nearly there head West. Did you get to see a tiny pony? I'll leave you to navigate the rest alone. Good luck.
